You will gain insight into how to improve your song craft and learn ways to improve your listening and analytical skills so you can apply what you hear to your own production.

Meet Your Instructor

Hi - I'm Brad Hosking. An award winning record producer, musician, business owner and educator.

I have over 20 years of experience as a songwriter and producer and I want to share with you all the tips, tricks, and mistakes I've made along my journey so you can fast-track your skills to be able to produce release quality music in the shortest amount of time.

I've toured the world in bands as a session musician, written literally hundreds of jingles and advertising campaigns for clients all around the world, written and produced countless records for pop, indie, and rock artists gaining international airplay, built successful music businesses, and have spent the last decade and a half sharing my expertise and experience with up and coming musicians, producers and songwriters as a University Lecturer.

Whether you are a beginner just starting your journey or an experienced campaigner, I'm sure there will be a lot of value in this course for you.

Songwriting and music production are so fluid and closely related in modern music and I feel that every musician and songwriter should possess production skills to open up new areas of creativity for their songwriting practice and creative output.

Listen To These Client Stories

The depth of Brad’s knowledge is often foreign to me, in fact, it’s like he’s from another planet.

Brad is a genuine music monster. What he doesn’t know about producing records is probably not worth wasting your time on.

Whether it’s producing world-class tracks or touring the world, Brad’s in demand. That doesn’t happen by mistake and it doesn’t happen overnight.

Brad has a genuine appreciation for songwriters. He creates a safe space for creatives to unlock their stories. He’s quick to recognise where a song is headed, more often than not it’s well beyond the expectations of the author.

Brad has the best work ethic and attitude of just about anyone I know. Nothing is impossible. He’s got the audio production chops and songcraft knowledge to realise world-class outcomes.

To see my songs transform from dodgy voice memos to full-blown studio productions is extraordinary.

Brad has a keen appreciation for the connection that exists between a musical idea and the technical production rigour required to glue the two together.

Brad has developed a reputation as a genuine musical force. Whether it’s producing studio sessions, songwriting, or performing live, he doesn’t skip a beat.

I’ve learned to trust Brad’s instincts in the studio. His deep production skills enable a song to arrive at a place you never imagined it would. In the best possible way.
